Norco PD Seeking ID of Paintball Vandal

The North Coventry Police Department is investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred near the area of Route 100 and Kutz Drive on May 6 at 11 a.m. The report states that an unknown subject was firing paintballs at traffic from a grey or silver late-model Jeep Cherokee. Pottstown Man Killed in Norco Motorcycle Crash, Police Investigating

Michael D. Nesspor, 23, of Pottstown, was killed on Wednesday night after his 1997 Harley Davidson crashed into a guide rail on Route 724. He was not wearing a helmet.

A Pottstown man was killed on Wednesday night after his motorcycle crashed into a guide rail on Route 724 in North Coventry. Members of the North Coventry Police Department responded to a report of a motorcycle crash in area of Route 724 and Scholl Road shortly after 8 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the operator – identified as Michael D. Nesspor, 23, of Pottstown – had been killed in the crash. The report states that Nesspor – who was not wearing a helmet – sustained severe trauma to his head and neck. A female passenger – who was wearing a helmet – sustained various abrasions and a broken left leg. She was transported to Reading Hospital by Goodwill Ambulance. Death Penalty Sought in Kevin Allen Homicide

The Chester County DA has announced he will seek the death penalty against Shakeem Carter, who is accused of the brutal murder of a Norristown teen.

Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced Thursday that the state will seek the death penalty against Shakeem Carter, the Norristown man accused of the brutal murder of 17-year-old Kevin Allen on Feb. 12. "The decision to pursue the death penalty is reserved for the most serious crimes and is only reached after careful deliberations," Hogan stated in a release. "After consultation with the police and the victim's family, this decision is based upon the circumstances surrounding the murder of this young man." Assault: On April 7 at 5:15 p.m., officers from the North Coventry Police Department responded to a reported domestic assault on the 1300 block of Temple Road. Upon arrival, police learned that a father and his 16-year-old son had gotten into an argument, which later became physical when the son allegedly punched his father in the head and struck him in the back with a lacrosse stick. Theft: Police are investigating the theft of a Fed Ex package from a residence on the 900 block of East Schuylkill Road. The report states that the package was stolen from outside of the residence on Saturday, March 9. Road Rage Incident on 422 Under Investigation

Police are requesting any witnesses to the incident contact the investigating officer as soon as possible.

The North Coventry Police Department is investigating a road rage incident that occurred in the westbound lanes of Route 422. According to the press release, the incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on March 20, and it involved a white male driver in a blue, two-door vehicle, along with another white male driver in a red, four-door vehicle. Aggravated Assault: At 7:42 p.m. on March 1, police arrested 55-year-old Samuel A. Kirk, of Pottstown, following an investigation into a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier that day. Kirk is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. Norco Man Charged on Child Porn, Again

For the second time, a man was found with hundreds of child pornography images and videos, according to police.

After an arrest in January for possessing hundreds of child pornographic images and videos, one North Coventry Township man is under arrest again, according to police. According to a report in the Pottstown Mercury, "Clay Warren Simpson, 52, of the first block of Parkway Drive, will face more than 300 counts of child pornography possession, total, in the culmination of an investigation that began in January, according to the North Coventry Police." Simpson was arrested in January for having a computer with more than 200 illegal images and videos, according to reports from North Coventry and West Pottsgrove police departments. Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced the arrest of 20-year-old Shakeem Carter, of Norristown, for the Feb. 12 murder of Kevin Allen.
