Teen Killed After Abduction From West Pottsgrove Home

Kareem Ali Borowy, 19, was found dead on the side of Sanatoga Station Road in Lower Pottsgrove on Sunday afternoon. Police believe he was abducted from his home during a home invasion earlier in the day.

The body of a local teen was discovered along the side of Sanatoga Station Road in Lower Pottsgrove Sunday afternoon, following a reported home invasion and abduction in West Pottsgrove earlier in the day.

West Pottsgrove Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Manatawny Street at about 2 p.m. for a report of a home invasion. According to reports, multiple individuals armed with handguns approached the teen—identified as 19-year-old Kareem Ali Borowy—and demanded cash. The gunman then abducted the teen from his home, and fled the scene in a car.

Reports indicate Borowy's adopted mother, Ruth Borowy, was inside the home with three other adopted children at the time of the abduction occurred. An earlier report from The Mercury stated the family members were tied up but otherwise unharmed. Those details, however, were not addressed in a statement released from the district attorney's office.
